Why Charcoal + Tea Tree for Skin?

Activated charcoal has a porous structure with an exceptionally high surface area, allowing it to adsorb impurities, toxins, and excess oils from the skin’s surface (1). This makes it a popular choice for detoxifying and clarifying care, particularly for congested or blemish-prone skin.

Tea tree oil, derived from Melaleuca alternifolia, is a well-documented natural antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent. Clinical studies show that topical tea tree oil can significantly improve mild-to-moderate acne by reducing bacterial load and calming redness (2,3).

When combined, charcoal works to draw out and trap impurities, while tea tree oil provides targeted antibacterial action, leaving skin feeling purified and refreshed.

Why a Patch?

Traditional charcoal masks can be messy and tea tree oil creams may evaporate or irritate sensitive areas if over applied. A patch offers controlled, localised delivery of these active ingredients, keeping them in contact with the skin for optimal efficacy.

The patch format also ensures precision targeting of problem areas - ideal for breakouts, oily zones, or areas prone to congestion—without affecting the surrounding skin.

Backed by Science

  • Activated charcoal has strong adsorption properties, helping remove impurities and oils from skin surfaces (1).
  • Tea tree oil demonstrates antimicrobial activity against Propionibacterium acnes and other skin flora involved in breakouts (2).
  • Clinical trials show tea tree oil reduces acne lesions and inflammation (3).
  • Patch delivery enhances targeted, sustained action of actives with less mess and irritation (4,5).
